The Victim
Not much is known of the boy found except for what was found at the crime scene and little information gathered.
The victim was a young Caucasian boy estimated to be between the ages of 4 and 6, who was found completely naked inside a J.C. Penney box. The box in which he was in was very close from the road, about a couple of feet away and he was lying face up inside of the box similar to the position of a cradle. His arms were carefully crossed and folded around his stomach. Both hands and feet were wrinkly as if he was submerged in water for a period of time before his death. His hair had been recently cut in a hurried and crude manner right before his death or a few hours after. The murder or murders could have done this to prevent the child from being identified. His nails had also been trimmed from both feet and hands. He appeared to be malnourished, leading investigators to believe that his parents or guardians could have had something to do with his death or disappearance. The child also had numerous bruises and scars all over his body. The bruises seemed recent and as if they had happened all at the same time. Unfortunately due to the cold weather the time of death was not reliable. It is estimated to be between two or three days and up to two or three weeks.
